The world’s largest low-cost carrier (and most people’s favorite) is launching nonstop flights from the West Coast of the United States to Hawaii! Yes, Southwest Airlines announced that for the first time, they will begin flying to Hawaii in 2018!
Southwest Airlines is known for their service plus with Southwest Airlines bags (checked bags) always fly free. While there are no assigned seats, you’ll also not be forced to pay for assigned seats. And unlike other low-cost carriers, snacks are still free on Southwest, plus you’ll have access to free on-demand TV and movies.
And there’s always the possibility that you’ll get an impromptu comedian flight attendant on Southwest Airlines.
Southwest fans have been waiting for years for the airline to announce flights to Hawaii and that day came this week. While no specific routes have been decided on, our guesses are that Southwest will launch flights to Honolulu from Oakland (OAK), Las Vegas (LAS), Phoenix (PHX) and possibly Denver (DEN).
So if you love Southwest Airlines and have had Hawaii on your bucket list, you’ll definitely want to pay attention to future announcements about their new Hawaiian service. And there’s no doubt that when the routes to Hawaii go live, they’ll likely be on sale!
