While Victoria might be the capital of British Columbia, it is also a cute coastal community that makes enjoying a cup of coffee on a cool or rainy day that much more enjoyable. Despite visiting Victoria in early November, we lucked out and enjoyed primarily dry conditions. But since temperatures were chilly, we took every opportunity we got to relax and enjoy a latte or cup of coffee. One of our favorite things to do is to go on coffee dates. So we didn’t mind enjoying a few lattes in order to put together this guide of our favorite coffee shops – Victoria edition.
Coffee Shops – Victoria
1. Pour Coffee
Pour Coffee is located on Government Street in a great location close to the waterfront. They pour up delicious coffee and lattes but also feature a full breakfast menu and gelato bar. You’ll also find a wonderful selection of oatmeal, frittatas, croissants, muffins and sweet and savory waffles.
2. Union Pacific Coffee Company
Union Pacific Coffee Company is a hip and vibrant coffee shop located in Victoria’s historic China Town. The place was packed when we visited and definitely felt like a coffee shop that locals frequented. They roast up locally roasted coffee (which was delicious) and also had a great selection of pastries and an all day breakfast menu. Whether you’re grabbing a latte to go or plan on hanging out for a bit, definitely check out this hip coffee shop.
3. Fol Epi
You don’t need to travel to Europe to find a European style bakery. Fol Epi captures the essence of a European Bakery. Owner Cliff Leir mills his own organic flour at his original location, the Fol Epi bakery on Harbour Road. The Fol Epi bakeries offer items like croissants, pain au chocolat, and a fluffy, lavender brioche. And you can get a delicious espresso drink. This place has to be on your agenda. The coffee and pastries were incredible.
