Frontier Airlines Lands In Boise Starting In 2018

Frontier Airlines Adds Boise to Denver Route Starting in the Spring of 2018

This morning, Frontier Airlines announced that they would be adding service from Boise to Denver starting in the Spring of 2018. Boise is just one of 21 new Denver destinations that Frontier will be flying.

New Flights to/from Denver:

  • Albuquerque, N.M.

  • Boise, Idaho

  • Buffalo, N.Y.

  • Calgary, Alberta, Canada

  • Charleston, S.C.

  • El Paso, Texas

  • Fargo, N.D.

  • Fresno, Calif.

  • Grand Rapids, Mich.

  • Jackson Hole. Wyo.

  • Jacksonville, Fla.

  • Little Rock, Ark.

  • Louisville, Ky.

  • Oklahoma City, Okla.

  • Ontario, Calif.

  • Palm Springs, Calif.

  • Pensacola, Fla.

  • Reno, Nev.

  • San Jose, Calif.

  • Spokane, Wash.

  • Tulsa, Okla.

The move comes as the Denver based low carrier airline prepares for an initial public offering. Frontier said the expansion  increases the number of destinations served by the carrier by 30 percent and doubles the number of total routes.

Since Denver is Frontier's largest hub, that means the Boise to Denver flight will allow Boise residents to connect through Denver and on to dozens of other destinations.

Frontier Airlines is an ultra-low cost airline, "unbundling" the cost of economy tickets and charging for services like seat selection and carry-on bags.

While a date hasn't been announced, it appears the Boise-Denver flight will begin sometime in March or April of 2018.

Frontier Airlines will be the seventh airline to serve the Boise Airport, joining Delta, Alaska, American, United, Southwest and Allegiant.

The Boise to Denver route is also served by United Airlines and Southwest Airlines, both of which also have hubs at the Denver International Airport.
