STIL Ice Cream Shop Opens In Downtown Boise
We had an opportunity to give Boise's newest ice cream shop a try this week. STIL Ice Cream, located in Bodo (Downtown Boise at the intersection of Broad & 8th Streets) will hold their grand opening this Sunday, July 16th.
STIL, which stands for The Sweet Things in Life, is a locally owned, locally sourced, and locally made Artisanal Ice Cream Shop offering unique flavors with optional beer, wine, and espresso pairings. And they make all of their ice cream on-site using as many fresh, local Idaho ingredients as we can find and using no artificial flavors or ingredients.
One thing that sets the STIL apart from traditional ice cream shops is that they will also sell beer and wine. Craft-beer fans can order a flight of brews paired with four small scoops of ice cream. Beer floats and port wine shakes also are also on their menu.
AND some of their ice cream flavors will have Alcohol as an ingredient (in select flavors). The alcohol flavors might contain coffee porter or honey bourbon. But don't worry, there's not enough alcohol to worry about. The alcohol will be used to add a perspective of flavor to select varieties of their cream.
We tried the Brownie Batter Ice Cream and Vanilla Cream Cheese and both were delicious. Madi had a couple bites too and she definitely approved!
The STIL is definitely a welcome addition to Downtown Boise and we plan on making it an occasional destination for a cheat day!
So if you are visiting Boise or live in the area, you'll definitely want to check it out.
The STIL will be open from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM Monday through Thursday, 11:00 AM to Midnight on Friday and Saturday and Noon to 8:00 PM on Sunday.
