New Hotel Openings We're Excited About In 2018
While we love traveling, we also look forward to staying in luxurious and unique hotels. And there are several hotel openings in 2018 and 2019 that we are looking forward to. Here are the five hotel openings that we're most excited about in 2018.
2018 Hotel Openings
Fairmont Austin Hotel
We've recently fallen in love with the Fairmont brand of hotels after our recent stays at the Fairmont Empress Victoria and Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver. Austin, Texas has been on our list of destinations to visit for a few years now and with the upcoming opening of the new, luxurious and modern Fairmont Austin Hotel, 2018 might just have to be the year.
Canopy by Hilton Portland Pearl District
We haven't had an opportunity to stay at one of Hilton's new Canopy Hotels. But we can't wait to try out the new lifestyle brand. Another favorite weekend destination of ours is Portland (see our Weekend Wanderings Guide) and the Canopy by Hilton Portland Pearl District is definitely a hotel we can't wait to stay at.
West Elm Hotel Indianapolis
We LOVE the West Elm brand. And we are in Indianapolis frequently visiting family. So the fact that West Elm is opening one of their first hotels in Indianapolis and it will have a rooftop bar, well it's a dream come true. West Elm is converting the old Coca Cola plant into their Indianapolis hotel. We can't wait to spend a night at the West Elm Hotel Indianapolis which is set to open later this year.
The Charter Seattle, Curio Collection by Hilton
One of our favorite hotel brands is Hilton's Curio Collection, a collection of boutique and culturally rich hotels that truly capture the "local" experience. The Charter Seattle is under construction one block from Pike's Place Market in Seattle. And since we visit Seattle at least once a year, and already have purchased tickets to see Ed Sheeran in concert in Seattle in September, we can't wait to try out this new Curio Collection property.
The Graham Georgetown, Tapestry Collection
While The Graham Georgetown isn't a new hotel, it is undergoing a refurbishment and will join Hilton's Tapestry Collection later this year. The Graham Georgetown is nestled right in the heart of Washington D.C.'s affluent and historic Georgetown neighborhood. You can enjoy panoramic views of the Nation's capital from the Graham Rooftop Bar.
We first visited Washington D.C. last year and loved not only exploring the Nation's capital but also Washington D.C.'s food scene. And we already have another trip planned for this year. So a stay at the Tapestry Collection's new Graham Georgetown hotel will definitely be in order.
2019 Hotel Openings
And looking a little farther ahead, we can't wait for these hotel openings in 2019.
Ritz Carlton Paradise Valley (Arizona)
Scottsdale, Arizona is one of our favorite places to escape for a long weekend. It's a wonderful place to shop, there are so many great restaurants and you can't beat spending hours laying by a resort pool. We also love Ritz Carlton properties. So the fact that a brand new Ritz Carlton resort is being built in North Scottsdale (Paradise Valley), well, we can't wait. The Ritz Carlton Paradise Valley will be a great addition to the luxury hotel and resort scene in the Scottsdale area. Check out or weekend wanderings guide for Scottsdale.
Andaz Palm Springs
Another one of our favorite hotel brands is Andaz by Hyatt. We loved the Andaz Scottsdale, Andaz West Hollywood and we can't wait to try out the Andaz Palm Springs. After several construction and financing delays, construction has picked up steam on the new Andaz Palm Springs. And the newly built hotel will be located right in the heart of Palm Springs.
